Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Panic… and the rest!

About me

Blogger, freelance writer, author, keynote speaker and high functioning nut job…

I’ve been writing about my experiences with social anxiety and panic attacks since 2013, after a nervous breakdown. During my recovery I noticed that the majority of mental health resources were either too clinical, or read like misery memoirs. I vowed that once my health improved, I would document my experiences without the use of unexplained medical jargon. I’m straight talking, I care, I’m passionate, and I swear A LOT.

The blog now boasts over 260k followers.

In November 2016 my book ‘We’re All Mad Here’ became a bestseller.

  2. Only just received this seen this! My pleasure 🙂 xx

  3. hey, just read some of your blog, your content is really good, made me think about how I’ve changed over the last year

  4. Love your blog, Claire. And have just ordered your book! I’m 32 and have suffered with panic disorder and anxiety since I was 17 and never thought I’d walk down the aisle either. Getting married and being the centre of attention was the biggest deal (after being reclusive and house bound for a long while) but one of my greatest achievements for so many reasons. No one could really understand why I was talking about ‘enduring’ my wedding day but you hit the nail on the head. You are unbelievably brave and have clearly come so very far with everything you have battled. I look forward to reading more of your content. Inspiring. xx

  5. My student support worker recommended I read you book and showed me one of your interviews. Ordered it from the local library and can’t wait to start reading it, it looks really good

  6. Hi Claire,

I have only recently come across your blog & I’ve just started reading your book. It’s already made me cry and laugh out loud. I’m 27 and like you i have only recently realised I’ve been suffering from anxiety for a very long time. I moved house and changed jobs and that is when i cracked and was signed off work. I’m still not able to work and unsure of what my future holds. I’ve started CBT and I’m on sertraline. It’s a very lonely place but your book/blog has brought me comfort because i now know I’m not alone with this and there is hope for me.

    Thank you Claire.

    • Oh wow, Harriet. Your message made me feel so emotional. You are absolutely not alone and I’m so pleased that you’ve started on the road to recovery. Please keep in touch xx
